Mark went to Japan in June, 1986 to train with Hatsumi sensei and the Bujinkan. He is currently the longest-staying of the Japan resident gaijin. He found himself often being asked to translate for Hatsumi sensei, and now it is basically his 'job' to translate whenever he trains with Soke.
